Hippo 1.0 brings a rebuilt Approval by Site screen, rounding rules you can target at specific people and cohorts, a PPAC Right to Work integration and a new Induction Steps Report — plus a set of Equipment improvements and fixes.

The Approval by Site screen has been rebuilt so everything an approver needs sits on a single page. (This is being rolled out slowly so talk to your CSM if you want to get it switched on).

Actual hours, contracted hours, approved hours, pay types and payment requests are all shown together, colour-coded and easier to read, with a consolidated daily total for each person across every pay rate that applies to them. Hours and payment requests can both be approved without moving between tabs.

Rounding rules can now be applied to specific people and cohorts, rather than to everyone on a site. You can also include and exclude people from a rule, so exceptions no longer need a separate site. Rules still run in order and calculate exactly as they did before — only who they apply to has changed.

A new Induction Steps Report brings all of a person's onboarding information together in a single PDF, available from the Induction Workbench or the Address Book.

Steps can be filtered by completion status, and you can choose whether to include the completed checklist PDFs as an appendix.

Reports can be produced as a card layout for easy scanning or a grid layout for more compact detail.

Right to Work checks carried out in PPAC now complete inside the Chime onboarding flow. The worker enters their six-digit PPAC code against their onboarding step, and the result comes back into Chime automatically, approving the step and carrying the expiry date across. On-site impostor checks continue exactly as they do today.

Mileage and running hours entered on a form now only update an item when the figure is higher than the reading already held. A lower figure is ignored and the existing reading is kept, while the form still submits as normal. Deliberate corrections can still be made on the equipment record itself.

Selecting an item's servicing status in the Inventory now opens a window showing exactly what servicing is outstanding, most urgent first. Completed and abandoned servicing is left out. The window is view only, so there is nothing that can be changed by accident.

When equipment requires a particular skill, the list of people who hold that skill now includes a search box. You can find the right operator by name instead of scrolling the full list. It works the same way as people search everywhere else in Chime.

Checklists that include a mileage or running hours field now complete without needing a separate servicing permission. The reading is recorded automatically in the background. Permissions for servicing records themselves are unchanged.

CSCS number and expiry now auto-fill to the Address Book in every case, including when a skill is added and verified at the same time or verified automatically.

Trade and Role now appear on every row of the Skills Matrix export, rather than only on a person's first row.

Equipment now shows the servicing schedule inherited from its Equipment Type, instead of showing as "Unset". Item-specific overrides can still be added.

Column sorting now covers the full data set rather than only the rows loaded on screen, across the Sites, Site Tasks and People grids.
