What does the app actually do for me?
The Chime app is here to make your working life easier. It lets you see exactly what hours you've worked and which sites you've attended — broken down day by day and week by week — so you can be confident you're always paid correctly. It also means less paperwork: things like site inductions, toolbox talks, and checklists can all be done through the app. You can also store your qualifications like CSCS, First Aid, and IPAF in one place, and record site notes or near misses on the go.
Is it tracking me all day?
No. The app only records your location at the precise moment you clock in or out. After that, it switches off completely and doesn't track your movements at any point during the day.
Is my personal data safe?
Yes. Your data is stored securely on encrypted servers based in the UK, fully compliant with UK data protection law (GDPR). Chime does not sell, share, or use your data for any marketing purpose whatsoever. Only authorised personnel within your company can access your information, and only to the level they need.
