Viewing Who Is Off (Mobile App)

How to check team availability before submitting a time off request

When requesting time off, you can check who else is already off during the same period before submitting your request. This helps avoid clashes, prevent teams from being under-resourced, and gives you confidence that your request is well-timed.


View who is off site

  1. From the home screen, tap the Time Off button.

  2. Your current time off allowance will be displayed.

  3. Tap the Who Is Off button.

  4. Set the date range you are considering for your leave.

  5. A list will appear showing anyone else who is off during that period.

  6. Review the results β€” if you are happy to proceed, tap Request Leave.

  7. Select the type of time off.

  8. Select your site.

  9. Add a reason and tap Submit.

Your time off request has now been submitted.


Use Case

This feature is available to any Chime user who can request time off. It is particularly useful for teams where cover and resource levels are important β€” such as on-site operatives or small teams where absences have a direct impact on operations.

  • Check Who Is Off before submitting a request during busy periods such as school holidays or peak project phases, when clashes are more likely.

  • If several people are already off during your preferred dates, consider speaking to your manager before submitting β€” this avoids a declined request and keeps communication open.
