As your platform grows, keeping your site list organised is important. Rather than permanently removing a site, you can disable it β moving it out of your active list and into a disabled archive. This keeps things clean without losing any historical data associated with that site.
How to Disable a Site
Go to Chime Time.
Select the Sites tab.
Find and open the site you want to disable.
On the right-hand side, locate the Sign In box.
You will see two buttons β Enable and Disable.
Press Disable.
The site is now disabled
Viewing Disabled Sites
Return to the main Sites tab.
At the top of the screen, you will see Enabled and Disabled filter options.
Select Disabled to view your archived sites.
Your disabled site will no longer appear in your active list but can be found here at any time.
Re-enabling a Site
If you need to reactivate a site, open it from the Disabled list and press Enable. It will immediately return to your active sites list.
Use Case
This feature is primarily used by super users or anyone responsible for managing sites. It is particularly useful when a site has been completed or is temporarily inactive β keeping your active list focused and easy to navigate without losing any records.
π‘ Tips
Disable sites as soon as they become inactive to keep your active list accurate and avoid confusion for operatives selecting sites at sign in.
Disabled sites retain all their historical data β nothing is lost when a site is archived.
If a site is only temporarily inactive, disabling and re-enabling is much quicker than setting up a new site from scratch.
