New Features & Improvements (In Detail)
Forms / Checklists
In Progress Tab
▌ NEW FEATURE
Release: Emu 1.0
The web platform now has a dedicated In Progress tab in Checklists, giving you a system-wide overview of all checklists currently underway.
Any checklist started on the mobile app syncs automatically, so everything stays up to date across devices. From this tab you can search, filter, browse, and open any in-progress checklist to review its current state — it opens in read-only mode, so nothing can be accidentally changed.
With the right permissions, you can also:
Reassign — Hand a checklist over to someone else. Tap the three-dot menu on the right hand side, select Reassign, and choose the new assignee. The checklist will appear in their In Progress list on the mobile app.
Duplicate — Create a copy of an in-progress checklist with all fields intact, ready to continue working on. The original remains untouched.
Activity Log — See a full history of changes, including what was updated, when, and by whom. You can also compare two versions side-by-side to see the changes between versions at a glance.
On mobile, the In Progress section has been updated too. It now is syncing automatically with cloud (see green cloud icon).
With the right permissions, you can clone, reassign, or delete a checklist — just long-press it and select an option from the menu that appears at the bottom of the screen.
Your Forms tabs
▌ NEW FEATURE
Release: Emu 1.0
A new Your Forms tab is now available on the web platform, giving you a personal workspace to view, manage, and complete your active forms.
Double-click any form to pick up exactly where you left off, edit fields directly in the browser, and submit when ready. Once submitted, the form moves automatically to the Submissions tab.
To start something new, click Start Form and select a template from your library.
You also have the following options on any form:
Reassign — Pass a form to someone else. Click the three-dot menu, select Reassign, and choose the new assignee. It will appear in their In Progress list on the mobile app (and their Your Forms tab if they are working on the web)
Duplicate — Copy a form with all fields intact, ready to continue working on. The original is preserved.
Activity Log — View a full history of changes, including what was updated, when, and by whom. Compare versions side-by-side to see exactly what changed.
GPS Location Capture for Photos
▌ NEW FEATURE
Release: Emu 1.0
Photos in forms now support GPS location capture, giving you verified, location-stamped evidence directly in your exported PDFs.
When building a form, any widget that includes photos will now show a Capture Geo Location toggle. When enabled, photos must be taken live using your camera — images will be restricted from being uploaded from the camera roll, ensuring the record is genuine.
Each captured photo is exported to PDF with:
· A map showing where the photo was taken
· Latitude and longitude coordinates
· Date and time stamp
This is ideal for compliance purposes, giving you confidence that forms are being completed accurately, on location, and in real time.
Restrict image selection to camera only
▌ IMPROVEMENTS
Release: Emu 1.0
A new setting on photo fields allows administrators to restrict photos to camera capture only. When enabled, users must take a live photo rather than selecting an existing image from their camera roll. By default, both options remain available.
Configure hard stop for scored checklists
▌ IMPROVEMENTS
Release: Emu 1.0
You can now configure a minimum score threshold on scored checklists. If a user selects a response that falls below this threshold, they will be blocked from progressing any further. This ensures critical scoring criteria are met before a checklist can be completed.
Enable PDF name tokens on additional form fields
▌ IMPROVEMENTS
Release: Emu 1.0
Additional form fields can now be configured with PDF name tokens, allowing values entered in fields such as Regarding Site, Regarding Employee, Date, and DateTime to be automatically included in generated PDF filenames.
New look form output PDF
▌ IMPROVEMENTS
Release: Emu 1.0
Form output PDFs have a cleaner, more professional layout with a new summary page and a more consistent appearance across all generated documents. This is available as an opt-in update — contact your Customer Success Manager to enable it for your account.
Address Book
Automated Bonus Payments
▌ NEW FEATURE
Release: Emu 1.0
Bonus payment conditions can now be automated, removing the need for site managers and payroll teams to apply these manually. Working alongside existing Payment Request Types, you can configure a bonus to trigger automatically when a staff member meets a set condition.
Three trigger conditions are available:
First Clock-In of the Day — Bonus is applied if the staff member has clocked in at any point that day.
Clocked In on Previous Day — Bonus is applied based on attendance the day before.
Distance Travelled Over Threshold — Bonus is applied only if the staff member has travelled over a specified distance (in kilometres) from their home address to their first site of the day. This is calculated automatically using the home address on their profile.
Site Tablet
Visitor mode
▌ NEW FEATURE
Release: Emu 1.0
Site tablets now support a dedicated Visitor Mode, making it easy to manage visitors arriving on site. When configuring your tablet's sign-in method, select ‘QR and PIN’ – this will activate a new Visitor tab will appear on the sign-in screen. Visitors simply tap the tab and enter their name, company, and who they're visiting - the tablet then captures a selfie to complete the check-in.
This automatically creates a temporary profile in your Chime Address Book for the duration of their visit. When the visitor signs out, their profile is deactivated. If they don't sign out, the system will automatically deactivate their profile at midnight.
Where to find visitor information:
Who's on Site — Whilst on site, they are visible in both the mobile app and web platform. You can also report on visitors by filtering by role ‘visitor’

Site Cohorts
▌ IMPROVEMENTS
Release: Emu 1.0
A new Site Cohorts feature allows administrators to create named groups of sites and assign configurations — such as rounding rules, time buckets, or site documents — to the entire group at once, rather than selecting sites individually.

Bugs & Fixes
Uploaded files now viewable in Address Book
Files uploaded through a checklist can now be viewed in the relevant user's profile under the Documents tab in the Address Book. From there you can search, organise into folders, and download them.
Induction session filter corrected
The session status filter has been removed from the Induction tab in the Address Book, where it wasn't working as expected. It remains in place in the Onboarding Workbench where it belongs.
Role changes now update instantly
Changing a user's role in the Address Book previously required a browser refresh before the change appeared. This now updates immediately after saving.
Full address now captured during onboarding
Line 3 of the address field was not being saved to the Address Book or passed through for review. All address lines are now fully captured and processed correctly.
Contracted hours field now visible on smaller screens
The Default Daily Contracted Hours field in the payroll setup screen was hidden on smaller screens. This now displays correctly across all screen sizes.
Suppliers CSV export now clean and readable
Unwanted formatting code was appearing in the CHAS membership column of exported CSV files from the Suppliers tab. This has been resolved.
Multiple choice field fixes:
Cloned checklists were showing an incorrect "100 options" label in the mobile app — this has been fixed
The maximum allowed answers was defaulting to 0, preventing any selection — this now defaults to 1
Score values were being lost each time a checklist was saved and closed — scores now save correctly
Failed checklist notification emails now sending
Failed scored checklists now correctly trigger email notifications to the designated recipients.
Timesheet entry now accepts flexible time formats
Entering time without a space between hours and minutes could cause issues. The system now accepts a range of formats, so however you naturally type your time it will be recognised correctly.
Current Hours with Pay report now shows correct staff
The report was including people not set up for payroll. These individuals are now excluded, so only staff with timesheet approvals are shown. A setting is available to revert to the previous behaviour if needed.
New Site button now only visible to permitted users
The New Site button previously appeared for all users, resulting in an error when clicked without the right permissions. It now only appears for users who have permission to add sites.
Induction Workbench now filters by session status
The Induction Workbench was filtering by form status, which wasn't showing the most relevant view. It now filters by session status, defaulting to 'Pending Review' so you can quickly see what needs attention.
Archived sites no longer shown in Plot Tracker
Archived sites are no longer displayed in the Plot Tracker, keeping the view focused on active work areas.
Skill photo adjustment tool now works correctly
Clicking the adjustment icon on a skill photo was triggering an error. This now works correctly, allowing users to inspect skill photos and expiry details without issue.
Control which skills appear in Skills Monitor
You can now choose which skill requirements are included in the Skills Monitor report, reducing the data loaded and preventing timeouts.
Time off allowances now created without errors
Creating a time off allowance for a user without default hours set was causing an error that prevented bank holidays and shutdown days from being added. This has been resolved.
Time Off Allowances report now loads reliably
An issue preventing data from loading when selecting a person in the Time Off Allowances report has been resolved.
