Build a Test Plan

Group your inspection forms into structured test plans for consistent site inspections

A Test Plan in Chime's QA module lets you have multiple inspection forms together in a specific order. This ensures your teams follow the correct inspection sequence every time, such as a Plot Tracker that covers foundations through to final handover.

Creating a Test Plan

  1. Select the Quality Assurance tile.

  2. Click on the Test Plans tab.

  3. Click + New Test Plan.

  4. Give your Test Plan a name (e.g. Plot Tracker).

  5. Add your inspection forms in the order you want them carried out.

  6. Click on the pen icon to set the specific requirements for that form.

  7. Auto Approve - tick this if you want the form to be 'auto-approved' ie. not require a manager to review it before moving onto the next inspection.

  8. Restrict who can approve β€” here you can determine a specific cohort that you want to approve

    Setting up Notifications

  9. Pending Review β€” choose who gets notified when the inspection is 'pending review', this means that the process can keep moving without delays

  10. Failure cohort - choose a cohort to get notified if inspection fails.

  11. Once you are happy with your test plan and have put all your inspections into it. Press Save and Close

πŸ’‘ Tips

  • Arrange inspection forms in the exact order work should be inspected on site to keep teams on track.

  • Use the Auto Approve setting for lower-risk inspections, and restrict approval for critical-stage forms.

  • Review and update your Test Plans regularly to reflect any changes in project requirements.
