Contract Manager Permission Access

Overview of what a Contract Manager can access on the Chime Platform & Mobile App

Updated over a week ago

The Contract Manager directory role provides broad operational visibility across the sites they are responsible for. Contract Managers can access both the Chime web platform and the mobile app, allowing them to oversee site activity, review documents, manage people, and approve timesheets.

However, their access is restricted to the sites they have been allocated to. They cannot see or manage sites outside of their assigned area, and most site configuration settings remain view-only.

NB: Please note that the below are the default Directory Roles for Contract Manager within Chime. However, there can be some variation within these roles depending on whether you have additional modules or if you have chosen to switch on or off certain permissions.

What can they access on Web Platform?

Allocated Sites Only

Contract Managers can only see the sites that have been assigned to them. If they are not allocated to a site, it will not appear in their site list.

Site Details (View Only)

Within an assigned site, Contract Managers can view key information such as:

  • Site reference code

  • Operating hours

  • Client details

  • Key people

  • Other site identification details

They cannot edit these details.

Site Notes

Contract Managers can:

  • View notes recorded against the site

  • Add their own site notes

  • Export notes to Excel or CSV

They can also view the site location, although they cannot change it.

Who’s On Site

The Who’s On Site section shows:

  • Everyone currently signed into the site

  • Historical sign-ins and sign-outs

This gives Contract Managers a full overview of site attendance.

Site Directory

Contract Managers can view and manage the Site Directory, including:

  • Viewing people listed as key contacts

  • Adding additional key people

  • Granting visibility for individuals who need to view the site

Site Documents

They can view site documents that have been signed or acknowledged during sign-in or sign-out processes.

They cannot create new documents themselves.

Reports (Limited Access)

Contract Managers can access three operational reports:

  • Current Hours

  • Current Hours by Employer

  • Current Hours by Trade

These reports include information such as:

  • Hours worked

  • Worker names

  • Employer information

  • Trade categories

Pay rates are not visible in these reports.

Site Files

Folders can be created to organise files, making them accessible via the mobile app.

They can see both:

For each person, they can view:

  • Personal details (trade, address, emergency contact)

  • Employment details (business units, employment types, contracted hours, time off policies)

  • Signed documents

  • Completed forms

  • Comments

They can also upload documents linked to individuals.

However:

  • They cannot edit personal details
