A Chime Invitation is a text message sent to a new operative. It includes a link to download the Chime app and a unique six-digit PIN code. This allows them to log into the app for the first time. If someone loses or forgets their PIN, you can easily resend the invitation.
To send an individual Chime invitation:
Tap the Address Book tile.
Search for and select the operative you want to invite.
On their dashboard screen, look for Invite Status on the left-hand side.
Click Manage Invites button
Click Send Chime Site Access Code button
A confirmation SMS pop-up will appear showing the number.
Click Send.
You’ll see a pop-up that says Invite Sent—click OK.
Person Receiving the Invite
The individual will now receive a text message from Chime.It will contain:
A link to download the Chime app
A unique six-digit PIN code
Once they download the app
Well done, they’re now ready to use Chime!
Use Case
This feature is mainly used by Admin and Super User teams when setting up new operatives. It helps get them up and running on Chime quickly. You can send invitations individually or in bulk—ask your Customer Success Manager (CSM) if you’d like help sending in bulk.
Tips
Double-check the mobile number is correct before sending.
If an operative doesn’t receive the invite, make sure their phone number includes the correct country code.
Invitations can be resent anytime by repeating the steps above.
