How to reactivate a user who was previously deactivated. Once reactivated, all of their previous details and records will be restored, and they can start using Chime again immediately.
Reactivating a User
Select the Address Book tile.
Click the People tab at the top.
Use the filter bar to view deactivated users:
Click on the deactivated filter button
Toggle the Deactivated switch to green.
Click Apply.
Your contact list will now show only deactivated users.
Use the search bar or scroll the list to find the user you want to reactivate.
Click on the individual’s name to open their profile.
On the left-hand side, you’ll see it says Account is Deactivated.
Click the Reactivate Account button below.
A pop-up will appear asking, ‘Are you sure you want to reactivate this user?’
Tick Yes, then click the Confirm button.
The user has now been moved back into your live Address Book.
Use Case
This feature is typically used by the Admin Team, Payroll, or Contracts Managers when bringing someone back for a new project or rejoining the company. Reactivating avoids the need to create a new profile from scratch.
💡 Tips
Once reactivated, the user retains their full profile, including skills, documents, and history.
You can now send them a new Chime invitation if they have forgotten their previous login.
Reactivating is much faster than re-adding a user from scratch—use it wherever possible.
