What are the widgets options?

Pick and choose widgets to build your onboarding form

Widgets are individual building blocks used to create an onboarding form in Chime.

Each widget represents a preset field or section, such as Contact Details, Bank Information, or Skills. You simply stack these widgets together to build a fully tailored onboarding process.


Who Uses Widgets?

Widgets are primarily used by Admin users or Super Users—the people responsible for building and managing onboarding forms or checklists.

They enable quick and consistent form creation with no need for manual formatting.


Widget Options for Onboarding

Below is a full list of available widgets and what they collect:

  • Address
    Collects a full postal address using a postcode lookup tool.

  • Bank Account Details (UK)
    Collects:

    • Bank name

    • Account name

    • Sort code

    • Account number

  • Bank Account (International)
    Collects:

    • Bank name

    • Account name

    • BIC number

    • IBAN number

  • Checklist
    Lets you embed an existing checklist into the onboarding flow.
    (Tip: Create checklists in advance to use here.)

  • Contact Details
    Collects:

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Date of birth

  • Email Address
    Simple field for entering a user’s email.

  • Emergency Contact
    Collects:

    • Contact’s first name

    • Last name

    • Relationship

    • Mobile phone number

  • Gender
    User can select their gender from a list.

  • Info Vetted
    Allows selection of vetting types such as:

    • Right to Work

    • DBS Check

  • Mobile Number
    A field to capture the user’s mobile phone number.

  • Nationality
    Select from dropdown list of nationalities.

  • Safe Pass
    Field to input a Safe Pass number.

  • Selfie
    Prompts the user to take a selfie directly in the app during onboarding.

  • Skills Requirement
    (Use pending clarification — this may relate to validation of required skills.)

  • Skills
    Allows user to upload or select a specific skill or certification.
    These are automatically synced to their Skills Profile in Chime.

  • Tax Details (UK)
    Collects:

    • National Insurance (NI) number

    • Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR)

  • Tax Details (Ireland)
    Collects:

    • Personal Public Service Number (PPS)

    • PRSI contribution type

    • Irish Tax Identification Number

  • Trade
    Lets users select their trade from a predefined list.

  • Training
    Allows inclusion of a specific training course in the onboarding flow.


💡 Tips

  • You can use as many widgets as needed to tailor forms by user type (e.g. operative vs subcontractor).

  • Reorder widgets using drag-and-drop or arrow buttons during form setup.

  • Keep onboarding short and relevant—only include the fields you truly need.
