Set Up Skills Requirement

Link a Skill Rule to your sites through skill requirements to ensure compliance

Updated over 2 weeks ago

You can assign a Skills Requirement to a site or project to help ensure that everyone on site meets the necessary compliance criteria. This links your Skills Rule to a specific location, giving you clear visibility over who is qualified - and blocking access (if necessary) for those who aren’t.

Setting a Skills Requirement on a Site

  1. Go to the Chime Time tile.

  2. Click the Sites tab at the top.

  3. Select the site you want to configure.

  4. On the Details page, scroll down to the Skills Requirement box.

  5. Click the pen (edit) icon.

  6. In the pop-up, click Select Skill Requirement.

  7. Choose the relevant Skills Rule from the list.

  8. Click Save.

✅ Your rule is now applied to the site. Here's how it works:

  • If all users on the site meet the rule, the site appears as compliant (GREEN).

  • If anyone is missing a required skill, the site status will turn RED as non-compliant.

Optional: Apply a Skill Requirement to Site Sign-In

  1. On the same Site Details page, go to the Sign-In Requirements section.

  2. Click the pen (edit) icon.

  3. Select the Skill Rule from the picker list.

  4. Click Save.

🛑 Now, if a user does not meet the skill requirement, they will not be able to sign in to that site.

This adds an extra layer of control to make sure only qualified individuals are working onsite.

View on mobile app

  1. Open the Who’s On Site tile.

  2. Select the site you want to check.

  3. At the top of the Site Details, you’ll see the Site Status:

    • Green means everyone currently on site meets the skill requirements.

    • Red means at least one person is non-compliant.

  4. You can also tap the Skills tab to view specific qualifications for each person.

Use Case

This is typically used by Admins, Super Users, or Contracts Managers when setting up or reviewing a site. It ensures consistent standards across projects and supports safe, compliant operations.

💡 Tips

  • Use skill requirements for high-risk or client-facing projects to ensure tighter compliance.

  • Combine this feature with the Skills Matrix for a live overview of qualifications across teams.

  • Consider different skill rules for different roles using cohorts.
