Rather than deleting and re-adding an expired skill, you can simply renew it by updating the existing record with a new reference number, expiry date, and photo. This is faster, keeps records cleaner, and avoids duplication.
Renewing a Skill
Click the Address Book tile on the left-hand side.
Search for the individual whose skill you want to update.
On their profile screen, click the Skills icon at the top.
You’ll now see a list of all that user’s skills.
Use the filters to narrow down by Pending, Verification, Expiring Soon, Expired, Verified, or Rejected.
Select the Expired filter.
Find and open the expired skill you want to renew.
Click the Renew button.
Enter the new details:
Updated reference number
New expiry date
New photo of the certificate or card
Click Save.
Use Case
This process is typically used by Admin or Super Users to keep skill records up to date without re-entering everything from scratch. It’s ideal for refreshing qualifications like CSCS, First Aid, or Asbestos that require periodic renewal.
💡 Tips
Renewing keeps the skill linked to its original history—avoid duplicate entries.
Always upload a clear, current image of the new card or certificate.
Renewals will appear in the Verification tab for office approval.
