What are Tags?

Group & Organise your forms

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Tags in Chime are an easy way to group, organise and theme your checklists. Think of them like labels — they help you categorise forms so they’re easier to search and manage later.

For example: Tag a checklist as "Equipment" for all plant and machinery forms

You can create and assign tags when building a new form — they’re flexible, reusable and entirely optional.

Steps: How to Create a Tag

  1. Open up an existing form or start a new one.

  2. Name your form / checklist at the top.

  3. Just below that, you’ll see the Tags field (optional).

  4. Type your tag word (e.g. “Equipment”) and press Return.

  5. Your tag is now created — and saved to the dropdown for future use.

You can add multiple tags to a checklist if needed.

Use Case

Tags are most often used by Admins, Super Users, or anyone building checklists in Chime. They make it quicker to find forms in the library and help keep things tidy as your list grows.

💡 Tips

  • Tags are fully searchable — use them to filter forms quickly.

  • Reuse tags across forms to group them by theme or workflow.

  • Keep tag names short and consistent (e.g. “Site Diary” not “site_diary_1”).
