Sometimes, you may want to override the default timesheet approval workflow (for example, Site Manager → Payroll Manager) and set up a different process for an individual. This might be useful if you want their timesheets to go directly to Payroll without needing Site Manager approval for example.
This can be done quickly at the individual profile level and ensures the approval process is flexible to fit different roles or circumstances.
Amend Timesheet Workflow for individual
Select the Address Book tile.
Use the search bar to find and select the individual.
On their profile page, click the Employment icon at the top.
Under Employment Details box, click the pen icon.
Locate the Timesheet Approval Workflow field.
This will usually say System Default, which is the process originally set up by your Customer Success Manager.
Click the arrow to open the drop-down list.
Select your new workflow option (e.g., Payroll).
Check that the line manager is correct.
Click the green Save button.
The default workflow is now overridden, and the individual’s timesheet approvals will follow the process you selected.
Use Case
This is typically managed by Super Users or Payroll staff who need to adjust approval workflows for specific individuals.

Double-check the line manager assignment when changing workflows.
