Updated over 2 weeks ago

Chime provides a comprehensive suite of payroll reports that give you full control over how you view and manage workforce data. Reports can be customised and filtered to suit your needs โ€” whether you want a whole-company overview, insights by site, employer, trade, or detailed reports on variations and exceptions. The platform eliminates guesswork by putting the right information in your hands, in a format that works for you, with the ability to export and share data instantly.

What Reports Are Available?

Some of the key payroll reports in Chime include:

  • Exceptions Report

  • Current Hours (by week, site, employer, or trade)

  • Daily Hours Exceptions

  • Current Hours with Pay

  • Approval Progress Report

  • No Clocking In Report

  • Variation Report

  • Planned vs Actual Shifts Report

  • Payroll Report

How to view Reports

  1. Select the Chime Time tile.

  2. Click on the Reports tab.

  3. Depending on your permissions, choose from the list of available reports.

  4. Open the report you need.

  5. Use filters to refine the data (e.g., by site, date range, employer, or trade).

  6. Adjust the columns and views to suit your needs.

  7. NB: Once you have got report in format you are happy with you can โ€˜saveโ€™ and name this view

  8. Export or share the report as required.

Use Case

  • The Reporting tab is predominantly accessed by Super User Payroll.

  • Reports that include pay data are restricted to users with the correct permissions.

  • Access to specific reports can be enabled or disabled by directory role, so for example:

    • Contracts Managers may need access to Current Hours by Trade or Labour Reports.

    • Payroll staff will access detailed pay-related reports.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips

  • Regularly review which reports are enabled for different roles to keep access relevant.

  • Use the Exceptions Reports to spot unusual patterns quickly.

  • Export reports into formats like Excel or CSV for easy sharing.

  • Tailor column views to focus only on the data you need most.

  • Combine different reports (e.g., Approval Progress + Variation) for a fuller picture of workforce activity.
