What is on-person equipment?

Link a piece of an equipment to a person - as they sign in and out; so too does the equipment.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

On-person equipment enables a piece of equipment to be ‘linked’ to a person. This is predominantly used for smaller tools that would travel around with a person ie. Drills, hammers, PPE etc.

This helps maintain accurate, real-time tracking of equipment, ensuring accountability and visibility without needing manual updates. Larger assets, such as heavy plant or fixed machinery, would not be classified as on-person equipment, as they typically remain on site.

On Person Equipment

  1. Open the Individual Equipment Profile Page for the item you want to update.

  2. Locate the On-Person Equipment toggle under the photo.

  3. Switch the toggle to green to enable on-person tracking.

The item is now classified as on-person equipment. Once assigned to a user (see Assigning Equipment) , it will automatically move with them as they sign in and out of sites, keeping your inventory records accurate and up to date.

Use Case

This feature is primarily used by Equipment Managers or Admin Users who are setting up and maintaining the equipment inventory.

💡 Tips

  • Ideal for small tools, PPE, or personal devices.
