Apply Service Schedule to Equipment Type

Manage servicing requirements for all your Equipment Types

Applying a service schedule to an equipment type allows you to automatically manage servicing requirements for all individual items of that type. Instead of assigning schedules one by one, you can apply a single schedule at type level, ensuring consistency across your fleet. Once applied, each item will automatically track servicing based on the defined rule — whether that’s mileage, running hours, or time-based intervals — helping prevent missed maintenance and improving equipment reliability.


Apply Service Schedule

  1. Go to the Equipment tile on the left-hand side of the Chime dashboard.

  2. Click the ‘Types’ tab at the top.

  3. Open the equipment type you want to apply the service schedule to.

  4. On the Details tab, scroll down to the Servicing box.

  5. Click the pen icon.

  6. Select Servicing Type (either Schedule or Plan)

  7. Select Service Schedule from the Pick list

  8. Press the green Save button.

Your service schedule is now applied to all equipment under that type. When you view individual items, the Current Servicing Information section will show the active schedule and trigger automatically based on your rule (e.g. mileage, hours, or time).


💡 Tips

  • Apply schedules at type level wherever possible to save time and maintain consistency.

  • Ensure mileage or running-hour data is being captured via equipment forms or checklists for accurate triggers.

  • Use Schedule for standard recurring servicing and Plan if you require a more structured maintenance programme.

  • Review servicing status regularly to spot upcoming or overdue maintenance early.
