A Servicing Plan in Chime allows you to combine multiple service schedules into a single, structured maintenance plan for your equipment. This is particularly useful when equipment requires different types of servicing at different intervals — for example, mileage-based servicing alongside an annual MOT. Service Plans give you greater control by defining what happens, in what order, and whether tasks repeat or are one-off, helping ensure nothing is missed.
For example, you might want to do quarterly checks a piece of equipment but after 12months it is just annual MOT.
Adding a new Servicing Plan
Go to the Equipment tile on the left-hand side of the Chime dashboard.
Click the ‘Servicing Plans’ tab at the top.
Press the + New button.
Name your service plan — for example “Mileage and Annual MOT”
Press Save.
Add Schedules to Plan
Now add your service schedules. Click the pen icon.
Select your service schedules.
Click on the cog to make the schedule reoccurring (ie. repeats as per schedule)
Use the arrows to select order.
If above the cog, this means it will be a one-off (ie not repeating), if below the cog, it will be reoccurring.
8. Once happy with your plan, press save.
Service Plan created!
Use Case
Typically, Equipment Managers, Super Users, or Admins will create these forms to manage and track equipment condition, performance, or usage.
💡 Tips
Use servicing plans when equipment requires more than one maintenance rule.
Combine one-off services (e.g. initial inspection) with reoccurring schedules (e.g. every 1,000 miles).
Set the order carefully — plans follow a top-to-bottom logic.
Plans can be edited later, so don’t be afraid to refine them as requirements change.
